Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) utilizes Evidence Based nursing practice to provide care to patient of all ages on assigned nursing units or physician practices; demonstrates competency in the physical, behavioral, growth and development, and psychosocial needs of the population served.
Graduate of a school of nursing and maintains licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and other state(s) as required. Achieves and maintains current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification.
While performing the duties of this job the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms: climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The team member must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
