LPN-Primary Care Detherage FT
Date Position Available:
Responsible for nursing care under the supervision of physicians and advanced practitioners. Effectively manages the patient movement throughout the medical practice ensuring timely. rooming, turnover and patient flow supporting physician and advance practitioner efficiency. Prepares the patient for physician and/or advanced practitioners by consistently obtaining patient vitals, chief complaint, past medical history, medication history and updates, pends medication for reordering needs, updates health maintenance (i.e., last mammography) with each visit, and ensures best practice alerts are addressed prior to physician and/or advanced practitioner visit. Obtains, verifies, and records health history of patients. Gathers pertinent health data through physical assessments and biological samples. Collects specimens for laboratory analysis. Provides basic patient care as ordered. Administers medications and treatments as directed. Performs other duties as assigned.
Graduate of accredited School of Practical Nursing, one year prior experience in nursing. Current State licensure for practice in Kentucky. Current certification in Basic Life Support. Basic computer skills required. Demonstrates excellent customer service.
While performing the duties of this job the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms: climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The team member must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
