Date Position Available:
Maintain the flow of the Urgent Care Center patients, schedules appointments, processes billing and third party payor follow-up to ensure proper payment, and ensures patient satisfaction. Sends out medical record requests, enters patient data into computer and prepares charts for all new patients. Collects payments from patients as they leave the office and records in computer. Performs daily close and monthly close and sends out reports accordingly. Provides clinical assistance as needed.
High school diploma or GED; and one year related experience preferred. Must be able to type 35 cwpm. Must be proficient in Medical Manager, and/or other medical billing and scheduling software. Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word.
While performing the duties of this job the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms: climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The team member must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
