Pharmacy Intern-Inpatient Pharmacy PRN
Date Position Available:
Perform a multitude of pharmacy tasks and also special projects to benefit the medical center and further their understanding of pharmacy. Tasks will vary and may include but are not limited to the following duties: Answer the phone. Pulling and delivering medications and supplies. Medical reconciliation. Discharge counseling. Retail pharmacy. Compounding non-sterile products. Admixing sterile products including chemotherapy. Other duties as assigned under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Minimum requirement: Enrolled in an ACPR accredited School of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Intern license in the state of KY. Preferred: Certifications in BLS, immunizations, diabetes and MTM.
While performing the duties of this job the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms: climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The team member must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
