Speech Language Pathologist-Skilled Therapy FT
Date Position Available:
Specializes in diagnosis and treatment of speech and language problems as related to human communication, as well as diagnosis and treatment of swallowing problems (dysphagia). Establishes individualized goals based on diagnostic testing. Completes documentation of all patients according to the procedures for each service area (Rehabilitation Center, Acute Care, Skilled Nursing Facility and Home Health). Evaluates the swallowing mechanism with treatment as indicated. Provides counseling regarding evaluation and treatment results to the patient/family. Participates as member of a multidisciplinary team.
Master's degree (M.A. or M.S.) Speech/Language Pathology. Completed CCC (ASHA Certification) in Speech Language Pathology or in CFY (Clinical Fellowship Year). Current licensure in Kentucky and Ohio. Maintains continuing education requirements for licensure.
While performing the duties of this job the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms: climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The team member must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
